Bei Neueinstellungen ist Fingerspitzengefühl gefragt, denn ein geplanter Jobwechsel ist für den Bewerber immer eine aufregende Sache, selbst wenn die Zeiten für Arbeitsplatzsuchende wieder besser geworden sind. Ein Zwischenbescheid sollte schon sein, wenn es länger dauert. Wir zeigen Ihnen, wie das geht.

Denn länger dauert es fast immer bei der Entscheidung für oder gegen einen Bewerber. Entweder, weil die Auswahl an qualifizierten BewerberInnen so groß ist und die Vorauswahl schon einige Zeit in Anspruch nimmt.

Oder auch, weil schon ein paar Kandidaten eingeladen werden, die restlichen Bewerber aber dennoch im Rennen bleiben, weil viele ähnliche Qualifikationen haben.

Der menschliche Faktor

Entscheidungen im Personalbereich sind wichtig, denn die Menschen sind bekanntermaßen das wichtigste Kapital des Unternehmens. Deshalb sollten Sie mit Bedacht getroffen und alle Bewerber mit Wertschätzung behandelt werden.

Blick in die Zukunft

A company and its services and products are only as good as its team. It is important to keep this in mind when dealing with human resources. Because people are the success factor No. 1 for the company! This is true for current employees, and for future employees as well.

Today’s job applicant may not suit your company’s needs for the vacancy at this time, but he or she might be exactly the person you need in several months’ time. It is therefore crucial to treat all applicants like ideal candidates, even if it turns out that they are not suitable for the current vacancy.

In the first place it is important to treat the applicant with consideration. This means not letting him wait for weeks – which you might do with someone you don’t really consider to be of much importance – but telling him with an interim reply, how long it might take before he receives an answer, and why.

Zwischenbescheid

There are thus two parts of an interim reply:

1. an explanation or excuse and
2. a realistic timeframe so the applicant can focus on something else.
3. Another means of showing consideration is to say thank you to the applicants for their application and for choosing your company as a prospective employer.

The response to our advertisement was greater than we expected, which means that we will require more than the three weeks originally planned to respond.

We are writing today to inform you that you can expect a reply to your application and maybe an invitation for an interview between 15th and 20th March.
